News, commentary, and previews for the adventure game Junction.

Let’s Play a Game

I am currently looking for people to playtest Junction, the point-and-click adventure game that I have been working on. You can find out more about it by looking at recent blog posts. If you are interested in playing the game and telling me what you think, please reply to this post or drop me an e-mail. I’ll send you a link to the download along with a questionnaire to fill out when you are done.

End

Today I played Junction from beginning to end for the first time. There were a great number of hiccups along the way, but it was possible. After tweaking some things, I’ll be sending a build of the game around for feedback.

My completion time was 2 hours and 57 minutes. Granted I already know all the solutions to the puzzles, but I was hoping it would take just a little longer. Still, it matches my original 4-6 hour estimate (when taking into account puzzle solving). Not a bad length, I guess.

Release Date

The official release date for Junction is October 12, 2012. Mark your calendars and watch in amazement as it inevitably slips! 😀

I should have a good deal of information about the game soon, though, so stay tuned.

Progress!

Here’s some more screenshots from the latest build of Junction!

Junction is an adventure game. The key to making progress is to investigate your surroundings, find out what you have to work with, then determine how to use the things at your disposal in order to move closer to completing the goals set for you.

The game has a rich story, steeped in an atmosphere of suspense.

You’ll need to interact with the other characters in the narrative in order to move forward. As you explore more of the game’s world, new conversation topics will appear.

Progress?

In the interest of making it look like I’m actually doing something productive and useful to society, I am posting a screenshot from our upcoming adventure/puzzle game which is taking forever totally almost finished.

I’m hoping to have it out by the end of May. Maybe even May of this year.
